Quick answer

Florida can only apostille a signature it can verify: a Florida official (State Registrar, Clerk of Court, Division of Corporations, FDLE) or a Florida notary. Public records need a fresh certified copy from the issuing office; private documents need a Florida notarization with a complete certificate. Pick your document below — $220 per document, 5–7 business days.

Notarized personal documents

Which certification your document needs

Florida apostilles a signature it can verify, so every document on this page falls into one of three groups. Vital records — birth, death and marriage certificates — must be certified copies signed by the State Registrar (certified 2014 or later) or, for marriage, by the county Clerk of Court. Court documents — divorce decrees, name-change orders, court records — must carry the Clerk of Court's certification, by stamp and signature or the Clerk's electronic certification. Everything else — powers of attorney, affidavits, diplomas, corporate papers, consent letters, translations — is apostilled through a complete Florida notarization, and the notary's signature is what the Department of State certifies.

Each document page below says exactly which version to order, where to get it, what it costs from the issuing office and what gets rejected at the counter. Not sure which group yours is in? Send a photo to orders@myfloridaapostille.com or call (850) 900-3443 and we'll tell you before you pay.

Common questions

Yes. $220 per document, $380 for two, and $160 each for three or more — whether it gets an apostille or a non-Hague authentication. The state fee, the request form, in-person filing and FedEx shipping inside the U.S. are included. Not included: whatever the issuing office charges for a certified copy or certificate, and notarization (online notarization is a $40 add-on). International return shipping is a flat $100 per order.
Probably, if it was issued by a Florida official or notarized by a Florida notary. Call (850) 900-3443 or email orders@myfloridaapostille.com with a photo and we'll tell you before you pay.
No. Each state apostilles its own documents. A document issued or notarized in another state has to go to that state's competent authority.
Then Florida issues an authentication certificate instead of an apostille — same process, same $220. Two more steps follow — authentication by the U.S. Department of State and legalization at the embassy — which we don't handle.
